Located in King County, Tukwila is a suburban city of Seattle with a population of roughly 20,000. Over time, industry has made Tukwila a busy city due to its location along rivers, railroads and freeways. Puget Sounds largest shopping complex as well as Boeing corporation facilities are located in Tukwila. Additionally, corporate data centers including Microsoft, Savvis, Internap and University of Washington are all located here.
The diverse city of nearly 10 square miles is home to residents across many different sub-neighborhoods and from all different backgrounds. Schools include three elementary schools, a middle and a high school serving the children of the district.
